Circle of Fellowship
Ubuntu

The Circle of Fellowship is our ministry of opportunities to share and receive, experience and express, and heal and grow in community. Ubuntu, from the Bantu language, translates as "I am what I am because of who we all are." (Leymah Gbowee). The Circle of Fellowship-Ubuntu ministry provides you with sacred opportunities to learn of Self in loving communion with others.

Circle of Learning
Hall of Amenti

The Hall of Amenti is the place where Thoth, the God of Wisdom in Egyptian Mythology, journeyed to receive the mysteries for humans to be free of the veil of the night and learn to shine their light. The intention of the Circle of Learning-Hall of Amenti is to provide opportunities, through classes, workshops, book clubs, retreats, etc., for you to connect, learn, understand and be your True Self. The Circle of Learning-Hall of Amenti is engaged knowledge, applied wisdom, and expansion of consciousness.

Circle of Healing
The Healing Temple

The Healing Temple shares its name with a sacred temple from Baird T. Spalding's book, Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East. The Healing Temple, located in a Himalayan village, was known for healing of the mind, body and spirit. In this temple, only the energy, vibration and divine power of words of "Life, Love and Peace" were spoken; thus creating a sacred healing ambience and presence. We embrace the same understanding in our Healing Services and Programs.

Welcome to Visions of the Heart Spiritual Life Center

Visions of the Heart Spiritual Life Center is an interfaith, interspiritual place of love, truth, wisdom and community in the Heart of the Divine. Our mission is to support the awakening to truth, love and the sacred within the hearts of humanity, one heart at a time.

"Heart is that place where intuition, inspiration, thinking, feeling and action can be integrated in the wholeness and harmony of Love and God." a Christian Mystic

We welcome all hearts and souls in community. Community is a place where you find home in someone else's heart, a place where you connect to and embrace your gifts and nature, and a place where you are encouraged to explore your spirituality and connection with Spirit. Visions of the Heart Spiritual Life Center strives to be a demonstration of that community.

As interfaith and interspiritual, we teach and resonate with Truth. One such Truth that can be found in many, if not all of the worlds' spiritual and religious traditions, is known in Christianity as the "golden rule," and the Ethic of Reciprocity:

"Interfaith shall mean the shared worship and community building between spiritual people from a variety of faith paths and traditions."

We strive to embrace, integrate and be a demonstration of the "golden rule," that is found in many spiritual and religious traditions:

Hinduism:
"Do not do to others what would cause pain if done to you." (Mahabharata 5.1517)

"One should not behave towards others in a way which is disagreeable to oneself." (Mencius Vii.A.4)

Yoruba
"One going to take a pointed stick to pinch a baby bird should first try it on himself to feel how it hurts."

Shintoism
"Hurt not others with that which pains yourself." (Udana-Vaga 5.18)

"The heart of the person before you is a mirror. See there your own form."

Unitarianism
"We affirm and promote respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part." (Unitarian principle)

Native American Spirituality
"Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves." Chief Seattle

Buddhism
"Treat not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful."

Christianity
"Whatever you wish men to do for you, do likewise also for them; for this is the law and the prophets." Matthew 7:12

In the book The Mystic Heart, Wayne Teasdale wrote, "A wonderful aphorism in the Hindu tradition extols the rich variety of spiritual approaches: 'The paths are many but the goal is the same.'" He further wrote, "In most traditions, the goal of the spiritual journey is union with the divine, whether this reality is called God, Allah, Brahman, Atman, Wakan Taku, the Tao, the One."

At Visions of the Heart Spiritual Life Center we welcome hearts home as each travels its spiritual journey.
