Workshops, Classes and Meditation Circles
Visions of the Heart
Facilitated by Tony Farmer
Passion is our inner fire that blazes for a trail, our life purpose. Participants of this workshop will rediscover and reconnect to their inner passion, the driving force that fuels their life purpose. Through ritual and experiential activities, participants will experience their inner fire and learn practical ways of how to keep it burning and how to use it in manifesting their life. The workshop is based on the material in the life-coaching book, A Guide to Getting It: Purpose and Passion. This workshop can be a four-hour workshop or expanded into a 3- or 4-part series.
Mount Meru mythically represents the center of the universe, the single-pointedness of mind and the golden mountain, in Hinduism and Buddhism. Mount Meru also is an actually the firth tallest mountain in Africa. Located in East Africa, Mount Meru serves as a male rights-of-passage for the people of the area. Journey to Mount Meru is a seven-stage journey of renewal to the “sacred golden mountain within.”
The workshop provides an opportunity for self-renewal and spiritual rejuvenation. Components of the workshop include guided meditations, experiential activities, wisdom circles, quiet moments of reflection and rituals of celebration. Journey to Mount Meru, in a modified format can be taught in a two-part session. The expanded version is as a 2 ½ day retreat.
Creating a Story Quilt:
In many cultures, when a member of the group embarks on a journey, the community will come together in ritual. In this ritual workshop, participants come together as community for the purpose of creating a quilt and a story, binding them together to form a story-quilt. Each person contributes to the symbolic quilt and the story. The only requirement is to be willing to participate in the story quilt ritual. (Conrad Pegues and Tony Farmer created this workshop.)
Shamanism: Discover Your Power Animal:
The universe provides us with a spiritual support in the way of masters, spiritual guides and teachers, guardian angels, animal spirit-helpers and power animals. A power animal is a spiritual entity that provides you with specific spiritual wisdom and medicine. Shamanism is catchall word for the spiritual belief system of many indigenous people through out the word. In many of these cultures, power animals and animal helpers come to use for specific purposes or for extended periods of time. This exciting and informative workshop provides a space to discover and connect with a power animal. You will also learn of its spiritual wisdom and learn how to use this powerful relationship in your everyday life.

The spiritual guide and/or teacher provides spiritual wisdom, serves as spiritual confidant, and supports your personal and spiritual growth. The spiritual teacher or guide can appear in many forms, and brings general and specific wisdom to the individual.
In this workshop, participants will learn the basic of core shamanism. They will learn about and how to take a shamanic journey. This workshop includes elements of the “Discovering Your Power Animal” and “Developing a Relationship with Your Spiritual Teacher” workshops. Other shamanic rituals and techniques are introduced. This workshop is designed for people are interested in learning about shamanism and shamanic healing.
Shamanism and Shamanic Healing
In this 5-part series, students are introduced to shamanism and shamanic healing. Topics covered include powers animals and spiritual teachers, shamanic healing and rituals, soul retrievals, and divination. During this series, will be part of a shamanic healing community. Students will gain valuable insights and wisdom that will guide them on their shamanic and spiritual path. Classes will be held once month for five months.
Usui Reiki Healing
Usui Reiki classes include Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 Reiki Master Practitioner, and Level 3 Reiki Master Teacher. Each class consists of discussion, lecture, an attunement and actual experience. With Level 1, students will be able to practice Reiki on themselves and others. With Level 2, students can give Reiki using sacred symbols and techniques. The Level 3 Reiki Master Practitioner provides students opportunity to receive Master Symbol and use it in Reiki treatments. The Level 3 Reiki Master Teacher is designed for students who wish to teach and give attunements for the Reiki Levels 1, 2, and 3.
My Vision, My Life, My Self
This four-series program is designed for young people to take a look at themselves and their life. The purpose is to provide an atmosphere for self-awareness, self-discovery, and goal setting and life planning. The four workshops are: My Vision of Myself, Heroes and Sheroes, My Life is What I Make it, and My Mandala/My Wheel of Life.

My Vision of Myself
§ Youth are introduced to the concept of vision and of seeing themselves beyond what others see. Through discussion and activities, participants are provided an opportunity to see themselves in a whole new light.

Heroes and Sheroes
§ Participants of this workshop take a look at their heroes and sheroes and how they choose them. Discussion focus on seeing what qualities make a hero and how we can be the heroes of our own life story.
§ In this workshop, participants are introduced to the concept of setting goals for themselves. These goals can be personal and educational. Through discussion and experiential activities, participants learn how to set a goal and establish steps to accomplishing the goal. The intention of the workshop is to give the participants tools and skills to make their life what they want it to be.

Mandala and Wheel of Life
§ Participants use their creativity and imagination to develop a mandala or wheel of life. This four-panel design brings together the experiences of the workshops in this youth program. In ritual format, students make a commitment to themselves an their life using their Wheel of Life.

Meditation Affirmation and
Healing on First Fridays (MAHFF):
Meditation, Affirmation and Healing Circle is held on the first Friday of the moment. This circle is open to everyone. The components include a meditation (using a variety of meditation techniques and formats), an affirmation (personal statement for healing, worthiness and goodness), and a healing ritual (using a variety of intuitive, meditative and healing techniques). The purpose of this circle is to promote personal healing, relaxation, self-awareness and growth in a safe and supportive environment.

Circle:
Meditation and Affirmation Circle for Black Gay/Bisexual Men is held on the second Friday of each month. The components include a meditation (using a variety of meditation techniques and formats), an affirmation (personal statement for healing, worthiness and goodness), and a wisdom circle (opportunity to reflect and share the experience). The purpose of this circle is to promote personal healing, relaxation, self-awareness and growth in a safe, supportive and nonjudgmental environment.
Meditation
and Intuitive Messages:
This meditation is held once a week. Participants have a guided or contemplative meditation. Then each person, if they so chose, is given and intuitive message from the facilitator. The messages come from Spirit sometimes through a Spiritual Guide or Teacher, a family member or friend who has made their transition, or a Guardian Angel or other Spiritual entity.
